Pharmacy Residency Benefits

Salary (adjusted annually)

PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident: 54 weeks: $50,659

PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident: 52 weeks: $50,659

Paid Vacation

15 days plus scheduled Family Medicine Center closings. 


  • Five days per year
  • $1,500 per year
  • Included in your training are the following:
    • Great Lakes Pharmacy Resident Conference
    • ASHP Midyear meeting
    • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties exam fee

Book allowance / Technology

  • $300 per year
  • PDA and laptop for use during the residency year

Lab Coats/Scrubs

  • Three monogrammed scrubs
  • Two monogrammed lab coats


Health and dental insurance is provided at the regular employee cost, effective date of hire. Options for residents to choose from are provided through the employee health plans. Family coverage is included.

In addition to health, vision and dental, the following insurances are offered at no cost:

  • Life insurance is provided at two times annual salary (residents are able to purchase ADL coverage for self and family)
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Disability insurance
