Edward Sheridan

Because of his passion for teaching, Dr. Sheridan joined our program in 1996. While he formally precepts the family medicine residency’s elective pharmacotherapy rotation, pharmacotherapy principles are integrated throughout the entirety of the residency program. Dr. Sheridan also serves as the pharmacy practice residency program director and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Butler University, as well as an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Purdue University, frequently taking students at the Family Medicine Center. He was given Purdue University’s Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year award in 2004. He is the course director of pharmacology at Indiana University School of Medicine’s Notre Dame campus. Dr. Sheridan also assists in planning the curriculum for the American Society of Health System Pharmacy’s national midyear meeting. In addition to his teaching roles, Dr. Sheridan also chairs the Family Medicine Center’s performance improvement team. He is the director of ambulatory pharmacy service department.  This department provides underinsured and uninsured patients with access to medications.
