F. Ryan Harris

I grew up in Dallas and attended Princeton University, where I majored in economics, studied Romance languages, rowed on the crew team, and performed in a dance company. After graduating, I worked as an investment banker and teacher before realizing my true passion for medicine. I attended UT Southwestern Medical School, where I gravitated to family medicine for its scope of practice, continuity of care, and outpatient procedures. My favorite activities include traveling, working out, trying new restaurants, perfecting my cold-brew coffee technique, and frequenting concerts, movies, and comedy shows – all with my fiancée, Holly. As a 2nd degree black belt, I also love watching MMA and shadowing ringside physicians. Choosing Saint Joe’s was a no-brainer. The faculty are experts in their craft and committed to education, the residents and staff are extremely personable, the unopposed training model allows for outstanding 1-on-1 training, and the curriculum affords ample opportunity to hone personal interests. I can’t wait to make South Bend home and begin my training at such a fine institution!
